Climax in Found?

Whats the Climax in the book Found by Margaret Peterson Haddix.
Climax in Found?
go to www.sparknotes.com then search for the book and if you find it, you will find a description that tells the climax
Climax in Found?
ummm i would think it would be any of these (if you read it, pick which ever you would think):

the whole adoption convention (in the rock thing)

the actual end of the book, because it leaves you hanging

or when they get the letters and stuff like that

i dont think theres an actual climax but you could prolly pick out anything from the book

Author's Middle Name?

Hey peopleses! I was wondering- does anyone know what Linda Nichol%26#039;s middle name is? She is the author of %26quot;At the Scent of Water%26quot; %26quot;In Search of Eden%26quot; %26quot;Handyman%26quot; and a few others that I can%26#039;t remember at the moment. I was just wondering because a friend of mine%26#039;s name is Linda Nichols and she knows another Linda Nichols. They have the same middle initial so I was wondering if Linda Nichols the author had it too. She probably doesn%26#039;t but I am still curious. Please help me if you can! Thank you!

Sisterhood of the travling pants?

what did bridget do while at camp to make her want her mom so much?
Sisterhood of the travling pants?
she had sex.
Sisterhood of the travling pants?
She slept with Eric.
Reply:can%26#039;t remember read the book too long ago, but i loved it
Reply:She was doing things that made her want to have a mother/motherly figure to talk to about. Her emotions were out of control and she slept with Eric, which left her confused. She spiraled out of control to get what she wanted, and didn%26#039;t know how to cope with the aftershock.

After that it%26#039;s ILLEGAL (unless you buy the Eclipse Special Edition) because it%26#039;s copyrighted material, just as Stephenie Meyer has said:

As some of you may have noticed, many people who have typed out or scanned either the entire books, portions of the books or first chapter of Breaking Dawn have received (or should be receiving) a message from their hosting companies that notices were sent from my publisher to take the content down. I know people are eager to share their excitement about my books, which I love, but you may not be aware that making portions of the book available for download is violating my copyright (unless you have written permission from me or my publisher). Quoting a sentence or two is fine, but anything beyond that is in violation of copyright. Basically, copyright gives an author control over where, when and how her work is made available to the public. This exists to protect the author and her work a lot of effort has been put into creating these books for you to enjoy -- so I hope people cooperate in respecting the copyright for all my novels.

Dean koontz Odd series?

what order should i read the books
Dean koontz Odd series?
You should definitely read them the way Dean Koontz wrote the series. There are some things you will miss if you don%26#039;t. The order is:

1. Odd Thomas (2003)

2. Forever Odd (2005)

3. Brother Odd (2006)

4. Odd Hours (2008)

There is also an Odd Thomas graphic novel called In Odd We Trust (2008) and written by Dean Koontz with Queenie Chan. This one I haven%26#039;t read yet.

They are excellent books, and real page-turners. Odd Thomas is one of my favorite fictional characters, too.

Happy reading!
Dean koontz Odd series?
They should be read in the order published, i.e.:

ODD THOMAS

FOREVER ODD

BROTHER ODD

ODD HOURS

Can some one plz give me a 8 sentence summary of the book "star girl"?

plzzzzzzzzzz
Can some one plz give me a 8 sentence summary of the book %26quot;star girl%26quot;?
hehehehe look it up online...thats what i%26#039;m doing, then summarize it on your own
Can some one plz give me a 8 sentence summary of the book %26quot;star girl%26quot;?
Sorry haven%26#039;t read the book. Plus if you read it then you would of already had the 8 sen. instead you wasted points.
Reply:I don%26#039;t know if this will be eight sentences but I will tell you what it is about.

It starts out when this girl named stargirl moves into the town of Mica, Arizona. At first everyone thinks she is a total weirdo because she wears crazy dresses, bursts random songs with her ukulele, and carrys her pet rat everywhere. Because she is so different though, the entire teen population of Mica starts copying her and dressing like her. For Stargirl though, this isn%26#039;t an act it is how she is, and eventually everyone else moves on and starts to ridicule her again. She decides to try to be normal but that doesn%26#039;t work either. Her only true friend, Leo, who is with her through all of it, decides that she is to much for him and doesn%26#039;t ask her to the dance. She goes anyway, but that is the last time she is seen, she moves away. Leo remembers her for the rest of his life. It is basically a story to teach teenagers tolerance and acceptance, and to always be true to yourself.

Hope this helps :)

I love books with romance (not mushy-gushy stuff) but action, too, kinda like Twilight. I would REALLY appreciate the help! Thanks!

Two-Way Street is about a guy, Jordan who broke up with Courtney but they still have to drive together up to Boston for college. Through this trip, we learn that Jordan has a good reason for breaking up with her despite still loving her.

Gemma Doyle Series takes place in the late 1700s and about a girl with powers to open a secret world. There are 3 books in this series. Oh yeah, she falls in love with Kartik, who acts like Edward!! :)
Reply:Well The vampire diaries by Lisa JAne Smith are like totally related and then theirs the vampire kisses by Ellen Schreiber and demon in my view by amelia atwater-rhodes And the anita blake series by laurell k hamilton but also blue bloods by Melissa de la cruz and tantalize by cynthia leitich smith
Reply:Here are some of my favorite teen and some adult-ish novels:

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It%26#039;s about a girl named Bella who moves to Forks, Washington and runs into a group of vampires. VERY VERY good! I REALLY think you should give it a chance because I%26#039;m not into vampire stuff, but it was AMAZING!

http://stepheniemeyer.com/twilight.html

Pants On Fire by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about a girl who basically has everything (popular best friend, good grades... and TWO boyfriends.) It%26#039;s really funny because then her friend from eighth grade come back to town (everyone hates him) and she falls head over heals for him too.

http://www.megcabot.com/

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares. It%26#039;s about four girls who where born as friends. They go through ups and downs together.

The Last Summer (Of You and Me) by Ann Brashares was amazing. It may be more of an adult book, but it was fairly good.

All-American Girl and All-American Girl Ready Or Not by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about an outcast girl who happens to save the presidents life. Suddenly everyone at school wants to be her friend, but she doesn%26#039;t really care... What she does care about is the presidents son...

Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about a girl who goes over seas with her boyfriend after (almost!) finishing college. After a bad break up with him, she goes with her friend and runs into someone.... It%26#039;s a very good adult book!

How To Be Popular by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about a girl who comes across an old book in her grandma%26#039;a attic called how to be popular. So, she follows the rules of the book hoping to become popular.

Jinx by Meg Cabot. If you liked Twilight, then you%26#039;ll like this book. It%26#039;s about a girl who has bad luck all the time so she moves in with her aunt and uncle. He sister is into witchcraft and I don%26#039;t want to spoil the rest, but it fairly good.

Teen Idol by Meg Cabot. This is about a girl who has an advice column in her school newspaper. So, when a famous actor comes to her school and she%26#039;s the only one who knows about it, chaos occurs!

Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen is also pretty good. It%26#039;s about two girls that are best friends who are having a few issues in the love department.

http://www.sarahdessen.com/?q=books

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen is one of my favorites! It%26#039;s about a girl who had something terrible happen to her and she%26#039;s learning how to cope with it and befriends an outcast boy.

The Mediator series by Meg Cabot. I%26#039;ve only read the first two, but they are VERY good. It%26#039;s about a girl named Suze who moves to California from New York because her mother just remarried. Oh, and Suze can see ghosts...

13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. It%26#039;s about a guy named Clay who gets these tapes in the mail about why a girl named Hannah killed herself. It%26#039;s very good and a great page-turner!

http://www.thirteenreasonswhy.com/

She Went All The Way by Meg Cabot. This is a book for more mature people, but it%26#039;s very good. It%26#039;s about two people who get stranded in the wilderness.

Forever... by Judy Bloom is also pretty good. It%26#039;s about a girl getting a boyfriend and going through sensual things. It%26#039;s a little mature.

Nick and Norah%26#039;s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan is okay. My friends LOVED it! I don%26#039;t wanna tell you what it%26#039;s about because it%26#039;ll just give it all away.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer. It%26#039;s about how these things called souls invade Earth, as well as humans. It%26#039;s based on a soul named Wanda who is placed into Melanie, who refuses to fade away like she%26#039;s suppose too. It%26#039;s very interesting and I totally recommend it!

Is eclipse special edition the same as breaking dawn%26#039;s first chapter?
The special edition of Eclipse is the book Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer, but at the end, it includes the first chapter of Breaking Dawn.

What is a book jump?

I have to write an english paper. It%26#039;s called a book jump. Supposedly I have to pick a book (I picked Romeo and Juliet) and somehow interview a character(I picked Juliet). My teacher is looking to see if our class understood the books we read. I%26#039;m lost. I have the begining of my paper, but I don%26#039;t know what to ask Juliet so that it shows my understanding of the book. Any suggestions? Please help me!

By the way, I made it so that Juliet is like any other modern teenage girl, she doesn%26#039;t speak in the Shakespearian language.

Please help me its due pretty soon.

1. ENGAGED

NO ONE IS STARING AT YOU, I promised myself. No one is staring at you. No one is staring at you.

But, because I couldn%26#039;t lie convincingly even to myself, I had to check.

As I sat waiting for one of the three traffic lights in town to turn green, I peeked to the right 鈥?in her minivan, Mrs. Weber had turned her whole torso in my direction. Her eyes bored into mine, and I flinched back, wondering why she didn%26#039;t drop her gaze or look ashamed. It was still considered rude to stare at people, wasn%26#039;t it? Didn%26#039;t that apply to me anymore?

Then I remembered that these windows were so darkly tinted that she probably had no idea if it was even me in here, let alone that I%26#039;d caught her looking. I tried to take some comfort in the fact that she wasn%26#039;t really staring at me, just the car.

My car. Sigh.

I glanced to the left and groaned. Two pedestrians were frozen on the sidewalk, missing their chance to cross as they stared. Behind them, Mr. Marshall was gawking through the plate glass window of his little souvenir shop. At least he didn%26#039;t have his nose pressed up against the glass. Yet.

The light turned green and, in my hurry to escape, I stomped on the gas pedal without thinking 鈥?the normal way I would have punched it to get my ancient Chevy truck moving.

Engine snarling like a hunting panther, the car jolted forward so fast that my body slammed into the black leather seat and my stomach flattened against my spine.

%26#039;%26#039;Arg!%26#039;%26#039; I gasped as I fumbled for the brake. Keeping my head, I merely tapped the pedal. The car lurched to an absolute standstill anyway.

I couldn%26#039;t bear to look around at the reaction. If there had been any doubt as to who was driving this car before, it was gone now. With the toe of my shoe, I gently nudged the gas pedal down one half millimeter, and the car shot forward again.

I managed to reach my goal, the gas station. If I hadn%26#039;t been running on vapors, I wouldn%26#039;t have come into town at all. I was going without a lot of things these days, like Pop-Tarts and shoelaces, to avoid spending time in public.

Moving as if I were in a race, I got the hatch open, the cap off, the card scanned, and the nozzle in the tank within seconds. Of course, there was nothing I could do to make the numbers on the gauge pick up the pace. They ticked by sluggishly, almost as if they were doing it just to annoy me.

It wasn%26#039;t bright out 鈥?a typically drizzly day in Forks, Washington 鈥?but I still felt like a spotlight was trained on me, drawing attention to the delicate ring on my left hand. At times like this, sensing the eyes on my back, it felt as if the ring were pulsing like a neon sign: Look at me, look at me.

It was stupid to be so self-conscious, and I knew that. Besides my dad and mom, did it really matter what people were saying about my engagement? About my new car? About my mysterious acceptance into an Ivy League college? About the shiny black credit card that felt red-hot in my back pocket right now?

%26#039;%26#039;Yeah, who cares what they think,%26#039;%26#039; I muttered under my breath.

Let America be America Again by langston hughes

What is the Dead Zone about from the Stephen King book?

I%26#039;ve been watching the TV series based on the book. basically, a guy is in a car accident and is in a coma for 6 years. When he wakes up the world is a different place and he%26#039;s different - when he touches a person or sometimes thing, he can see things that have happened or that will happen. Based on watching the show, I want to read the book but hadn%26#039;t gotten around to it yet. I think the book does have soem of the political/apocolyptic storyline that%26#039;s in the TV series.

Nickel and Dimed...anyone like it?

Ok so I just finished reading this book, and I%26#039;m ashamed to say I don%26#039;t quite understand the book as well as I thought I would. Now granted, it%26#039;s pretty self-explanatory but if I were to be asked to analyze the book, I wouldnt be able to. Say someone asked me how the random drug testing is affecting the workers%26#039; morale, I can answer it pretty vaguely....but it wouldn%26#039;t be answering the question. And yes I know the chances of meeting someone and randomnly being asked that are very very rare. But it doesn%26#039;t matter. I would like to fully understand this book and if anyone does understand it and is willing to help me then please let me know so I can e-mail you. Please and Thank You.

I think she also shows how the underclass is permanent...there is no hope of these people ever escaping it. But that%26#039;s the American way, of course.

I remember her depiction of the hard work of being poor...the services that were available were at odd hours, or in inconvenient locations. She received food baskets that were full of junk food, hence the poor are generally fat and malnourished.

Help with animal farm?

this book is hard for me to understand. can you please summarize the story for me? also, im doing a project on how people (well, animals in this case, but whatever) want power. i have to use animal farm as an example. any suggestions?
Help with animal farm?
No, because it sounds like you haven%26#039;t even read the book. If you had, you wouldn%26#039;t need a summary, because its really a short book with a very simple plot. Read the book and do the assignment.

Does anyone know any good books for someone who want to learn to play the guitar?

i really want to learn how to play the guitar but it seem im going to have to learn by a book.
Does anyone know any good books for someone who want to learn to play the guitar?
In my opinion,

You should go with a book that has simple songs, but one%26#039;s that you actually WANT to learn. Also, it should include chords and tabs (for picking) and it%26#039;s a good idea to make sure the songs include examples of the chords on top of each page (to show where your fingers should be) so that you don%26#039;t have to constantly refer to another book. I like the variety of having the music, the chords (with examples on top), and the tabs. Once you get more confortable with the easier chords, you can move on to the more difficult.

Have fun!

To Kill a Mockingbird! TOUGH questions!?

3) Miss Maudie was Presbyterian. a. true b. false

5) How was Bob Ewell killed? a. Hit his head on the ground b. Boo squeezed him to death c. Scout got hold of a knife and stabbed him d. He stumbled, fell and landed on a knife. e. none of the above

6) How does Dill customarily eat? a. with his mouth open b. in the left side of his mouth c. with his hands d. with his back teeth e. with his front teeth
To Kill a Mockingbird! TOUGH questions!?
Miss Maudie was, I believe, a baptist; Bob Ewell was killed by Boo squeezing him first then stabbing him to death...(Sorry, mistake the first time, this is correct); the sheriff and Atticus agreed to protect Boo, and again, Dill ate with his back teeth. Heck went back and found Ewell had fallen on his own knife and heck and Atticus agreed that he had fallen on it,. nothing to do with Boo...
To Kill a Mockingbird! TOUGH questions!?

5, bob tripped and fell on his knife

6, dill eats with his hands

HP and the Deathly Hallows Question!!!?

from the hogwarts battle, did any of the current professors or students who died in the battle become ghosts at hogwarts? like myrtle?
HP and the Deathly Hallows Question!!!?
It does not say that anyone who died came back as a ghost. God bless!
HP and the Deathly Hallows Question!!!?
There is no official word from JKR but probably no. The explanation of why a wizard might choose to become a ghost does not fit in with dieing heroically in battle.
Reply:According to JK, only Rory Emerald.
Reply:That is a very good and thought proking question. Although the book does not mention that, I suggest that you write to J.K. Rowling to ask her. The wors that can happen is she won%26#039;t write back. But what%26#039;s to lose? Besides, authors LOVE getting fan mail.
Reply:It was never mentioned. I think that JK Rowling probably wanted to leave it to your imagination. Those are good books.
Reply:Well, I think that we might expect one, though when you think about it, those who remained for the battle were brave - not the sort likely to become ghosts (which, we learn from Nick, appears to be something that the deceased must desire first). My guess is that those who remained to fight are likely too brave to become ghosts. Some of the Death Eaters, on the other hand, might become ghosts (as fear of death seems to be a common factor among them). Crabbe, it seems to me, is the most likely to be a ghost, as he clearly feared death and was not prepared to meet it (at his own hand, so to speak).

Reply:I don%26#039; think so, she never said so in her interviews.

BUT wouldn%26#039;t Fred be hilarious as a ghost???????????
Reply:No, it was never mentioned in the story, and I think it would be someone irrelevant, and plus I don%26#039;t think it would really %26quot;hurt%26quot; them, would it? I love the DH! %26lt;3

Edit: Also, I%26#039;ve checked her Website, mugglenet.com, and her interviews and she never mentioned it at all. I guess she wanted us to leave it all up to our imagination...
Reply:I don%26#039;t really think so- like Jim Pettis perfectly said, all those who remained to fight wouldn%26#039;t have feared death- they would have embraced it. As we already saw, Lupin had already crossed over (so, I assume, as had Tonks)- Fred would probably be much more excited on how much more tricks he can do on the %26#039;other side%26#039;- so, no I don%26#039;t think any would WANT to be ghosts, although perhaps ones who died who the readers weren%26#039;t so acquinted with might...who knows, maybe (hopefully) we find this all out in another book JK writes?

Cheers,

Nina ;)

Lynne Truss and Aisha Tyler come to mind for me but neither is quites on the level with Sedaris. Who else would you reccomend as a contender to the title of funniest working writer?
Are there any other writers as funny as David Sedaris?
Do you mean television or movie writers?

In the literary world I would say Christopher Moore and Kurt Vonnegut are the funniest writers.

Christopher Buckley is pretty witty, but not always laugh out loud funny.

Stephenie Meyer-ish Meg Cabot books?

Okay, so in a recent question, I asked people%26#039;s favorite Meg Cabot books. I%26#039;ve heard a lot of good things about her, but have never actually read anything by her. Now I want to start, but she wrote soo many books I don%26#039;t know where to begin. However, I didn%26#039;t actually anticipate getting such a variety of diverse answers. So, I am going to try to rephrase my question and be more specific.

Which Meg Cabot book/series (Please only pick one! Too many recommendations don%26#039;t help - they%26#039;re just going to make my head spin!) do you think a girl who enjoys the %26quot;Twilight%26quot; saga would like the most? They don%26#039;t necessarily have to have the paranormal factor. Also, if you could give a brief synopsis of the book you%26#039;re recommending, that would be lovely! Thanks! :)
Stephenie Meyer-ish Meg Cabot books?
Jinx by Meg Cabot. If you liked Twilight, then you%26#039;ll like this book. It%26#039;s about a girl who has bad luck all the time so she moves in with her aunt and uncle. Her cousin is into witchcraft and I don%26#039;t want to spoil the rest, but it fairly good. My friend who hates reading, loved Twilight and this book.

OR

The Mediator series by Meg Cabot. I%26#039;ve only read the first two, but they are VERY good. It%26#039;s about a girl named Suze who moves to California from New York because her mother just remarried. Oh, and Suze can see ghosts...
Stephenie Meyer-ish Meg Cabot books?
I suggest City of Bones

Its by Cassandra Clare

Its about a girl who suddenly sees these strange people with tattoos that no one else sees. They know she sees them and they dont know why either. But They find out why, her mother is captured and she falls in love with a boy.

I know it kinda sounds stupid, thats what i thought too, but give it a ttry, its a paranormal romance.

Good Luck!
Reply:The Mediator- It%26#039;s about a girl who is a mediator, meaning that she can see and talk to ghosts. Also, the fact that she falls for one super hottie ghost, doesn%26#039;t help. xD

1-800-WHERE-R-YOU?- It%26#039;s about a girl who gets struck by a lightning, and can find the location of anyone, helping a lot of missing people, but also causing some troubles for herself...

What books do you recommend a 15 year old girl to read?

Pick up Margaret Atwood%26#039;s Handmaiden%26#039;s Tale. It is a thought-provoking work

trust me

google it and find out for yourself
Reply:that nnew series with the boy who is a vampire and she loves him anyways. what is that name? grr. haha, hopefully you know what I am talkign about.

It%26#039;s very interesting and I totally recommend it!

http://stepheniemeyer.com/thehost.html

Good luck with finding a book! I hope these help!
Reply:the whole %26#039;confessions of a shopaholic%26#039; series is great.
Reply:some of my fav teen books hav alot of drama and basicly are always full of different teen stories.......and they are most likely to tell you what teens go through and the problems that come in life so i recemmend some Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.....and if you are looking for addvice on boys and stuff like dat there are other Chicken Soup books you can look for.....i hope this helps
Reply:I would recommend reading things that will advance you both emotionally and psychologically. Books that will expose you to new things and help you to learn about the world around you-- and like one of the other answerers said, READ THE BIBLE. It will change your life.

A few titles I would suggest are:

The Glass Castle

Seabiscuit

Chinese Cinderella

The Big House

Gone With the Wind

Pride and Prejudice

Jane Eyre

Vanity Fair

A Northern Light

And, of course, because it%26#039;s summer... for a fun, easy read, I would recommend:

the Twilight saga (You are sure to love)

Harry Potter, if you haven%26#039;t already read them

The Minister%26#039;s Daughter

Quest for a Maid

Spinners

The Chronicles of Narnia

Perfect

Best of luck finding the perfect book!

I need help with.......?

kkk...i%26#039;m writing a book and I need help. It is set waaayyy in the future but it%26#039;s complete fantasy ( more magic and stuff and less technology and science and stuff) I need to create a totally magical, fantasy-like wedding. The wedding has to have magic in it and it should not totally look like a normal wedding. but people should know that it is a wedding. so please help me by giving ideas on how to go about the wedding.

i hope my question makes enough sense and all those creative brains out there, please help me out!!!!!!!!
I need help with.......?
How about a bride walks down the aisle and her train is dragging on the ground. She extends her arm to Love, which can be like a person or witch or whatever. She extends her arm to Hope. They guide her down the aisle until at the middle. When she gets to the middle, they release her and in essence, allow her to go on her own having been previously guided by the qualities...if you get what mean....okay, and so she makes her way up the rest of the aisle with fairies picking up her train...i don%26#039;t know....just a quick thought...ok...well, if you have any question...just contact me...ok, bye.

Death Note: Who Exactly Is B?

I%26#039;ve watched the whole Death Note series, I%26#039;ve read some of the manga.. and I read, Death Note: Another Note, The Los Angeles BB Murder Case.

Now I really didn%26#039;t understand the ending and I do plan on reading it again, but I need someone to explain to me if B (Beyond Birthday) was posing as L..? or if he is L%26#039;s brother..? or if L (Ryuzaki), is B.. Or something else and totally different than this..

Thanks to anyone who can help!!!

Anyone annoyed with the Twilight questions?

Don%26#039;t get me wrong; It%26#039;s my favorite book series, and I have posters of it alllllll over my wall.

I have all of the books, including the new edition of Eclipse.

I blog about the book everyday.

But is anyone getting sick of people asking a million questions about Twilight?

Yes, I know that this is about Twilight, but whatever.

Am I the only person?

When everyone is obsessed with Twilight, it kind of makes it seem less unique, and...idk...I just don%26#039;t like it.
Anyone annoyed with the Twilight questions?
I feel the SAME way. I love the Twilight saga, but the redundant questions are getting out of hand.
Anyone annoyed with the Twilight questions?

BEST EVER

im in love with the series
Twilight fans?
It%26#039;s one word: AMAZING! I loved it. I didn%26#039;t think I would like it, but it was really good. I think you will enjoy it. I%26#039;m not into the whole vampire thing, but it was awesome!
Reply:I really enjoyed reading the books. Being a person who hates vampire books, I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up Twilight. It was impossible to put down! Have fun reading the series!
Reply:GOSH!

It is my favorite series.

It%26#039;s incredible.

You will totally fall in love with Edward.

The plot and the characters are amazing; you instantly get hooked onto the book and it is impossible to stop...I read it in 4 hours!!!

You have to buy it. HAVE TO! :]
Reply:best series ever. no lie.
Reply:I%26#039;m almost finished it, and it%26#039;s just getting better and better. It%26#039;s a little slow at the beginning, because the plot, characters, and suspense are being set up. Not that I%26#039;m complaining, just my opinion. There is a ton of detail and suspense! Awesome!
Reply:The Twilight series books are... different from all others, and yet, in many ways, the same.

The irresistible leading male, Edward, is really what has made the series such a success. Without Edward%26#039;s undeniable sex appeal, they don%26#039;t have too much going for them... Although, I%26#039;ll allow that they are well written.

The plot line is not exactly original-- vampires and werewolves are nothing new, and neither is passionate, forbidden romance. However, the very unique way in which Stephenie Meyer has spun her tale is genius. Edward%26#039;s beyond all perfection has lured in thousands upon thousands of weak humans, desperate to soak up more of this captivating tale.

The chance that you will not like them is slim to none; they are not exactly a classic read or anything, but you will stay up late into the night, unable to close it.
Reply:Its a great book if you dont put too much thought into it. Just like TV soaps its dramatic and keeps you turning the pages with anticipation. However, if you like to look deeply into books you will find that this one has many character flaws and inconsistencies. My advice: read it, enjoy it, dont think too much about it.
Reply:THE ALL TIME BEST SERIES IN THE UNIVERSE!!!!
Reply:They are the BEST books ever written. Stephenie Meyer is an amazing writer. I love her writing style. I get so wrapped up in her books. She writes so you can really relate to her characters and feel their emotions. Quick! Buy the book TONIGHT! You won%26#039;t be able to put it down. I%26#039;ve read all of them multiple times and they%26#039;re just as good every time. They%26#039;re not like the books that you read once and it%26#039;s never the same. The first time I read it was the best but I still felt the same emotions every time I read the books. Sometimes the emotions are even stronger. The first time I read Eclipse ( the 3rd book) I didn%26#039;t cry (even though I was really close) and the second time I couldn%26#039;t stop crying. The first time my friend read the 3rd book her mom walked into her room to find her siting on her bed reading the book and bawling with tissues all over her floor. Everyone I know who has read the books has absolutely LOVED them. I finally got my sister to read the first one and she has stopped making fun of me for being practically obsessed with the books. Although she is on Team Jacob. (You%26#039;ll get the whole %26#039;team%26#039; thing when you read the others) All of me friends and I are on Team Edward. Edward is the BEST! Only one of my friends is on Team Jacob. Anyway, hurry up and get the book. then read fast! Don%26#039;t forget about the movie in December!
Reply:I probably shouldn%26#039;t answer this, because I%26#039;m not a Twilight fan, but I didn%26#039;t really like it. I%26#039;ve only read the first book and I was so bored! Reading how much the main character was in love with the vampire got so redundant after awhile. The plot was stretched out for as long as possible and the characters lost my interest after the first one hundred pages. But hey, I hope you like it--the series has like a billion-person fan base.
Reply:great but not my favorite series

How does the novel "Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck" compare to the 1930s? (themes, motifs, etc.,)

How does the novel %26quot;Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck%26quot; compare to the 1930s? (themes, motifs, etc.,)
The 1930%26#039;s were a decade of social upheaval. Steinbeck was a communist. When he portrays these two down and outers in _Of Mice and Men,_ he is mirroring the decade%26#039;s concern with the downtrodden, the outcast. Moreover, the latent power in Lenny et. al. (the small animals he kills without meaning to) combined with his primitive understanding represent the dumb, animal condition of humanity and the buried force of the masses. The two men, simple and elemental, are devoted to each other. They are a socialist system in miniature. In 1937, their simple rural concerns seemed more elemental and humanly important than the parties in _The Great Gatsby_ or the self-regarding dissipation of _The Sun Also Rises._

No one knows what Bella%26#039;s lullaby is. Only the people editing the movie knows, and Stephenie Meyer.

Twilight lovers! PLease help!!!?
As of now, Bella%26#039;s lullaby doesn%26#039;t exist. Robert Pattinson (Edward in the movie) composed a song, but he said he didn%26#039;t like it and is now in the process of compsing a new one. But you can go here to listen to the one I think sounds most like her lullaby here:

Reply:The books are so beautifully written, and no one can put them down. I strongly disliked vampire books, then I tried Twilight and loved it! It is all the way that the author wrote them.
Reply:It contains minute amounts of LSD in the paper.Every time you lick your finger to turn a page, you%26#039;re going on an acid trip! Yeah man!
Reply:I%26#039;m obsessed too! Finlay someone like me! I CANNOT stop thinking about them! I love everything about them! I find a way to relate everything to them! Every song, every picture, I even study by relating things I learn to the books! I have no idea how the books are so powering. Stephenie Meyer is my all time favorite author. I love her writing style! I get so involved in the books. I feel every emotion of every character and can see the stories from all of their perspectives. I LOVE those books! The only thing I love more than those books is God and Edward Cullen!
