Lynne Truss and Aisha Tyler come to mind for me but neither is quites on the level with Sedaris. Who else would you reccomend as a contender to the title of funniest working writer?

In the literary world I would say Christopher Moore and Kurt Vonnegut are the funniest writers.
Christopher Buckley is pretty witty, but not always laugh out loud funny.
